Model numbers confuse me

Re 25Hp Johnson Seahorse. I have read other posts to solve my problem but my motor has no markings on the transom, the only numbers I can find are :<br /> 393955A 25Hp 7CJ<br />Can someone interpret these for me, ie what is the model, year etc and having solved that where could I look for a manual for ths motor.

Hi raf<br />Sorry I can't interpret your numbers for you. There are other model# lists for comercial and military models. You may have one of these motors.

I do believe that is a commercial engine I have some of the commercial # but don't have that one.<br />It may be european number and I can't help with that, Sorry
