modern fuel supply on old engine

I have a 1959 5 1/2 hp Evinrude that has some kind of a conversion fuel supply kit on it put there by a previous owner. It runs like a top. In other words, it uses a modern fuel tank, pressure bulb in the line instead of the old tank with the pressure button on the tank.

I have a 1957 Evinrude 18 hp I would like to do the same thing to. What are those conversion kits called and where does one get them? They would be the cats meow for guys like me that like old engines but as you know, you can't find those old tanks or connectors anymore.

There have been several posts/threads on this forum about the fuel pump conversion. Use the search function and you'll find them. You can add on an OMC fuel pump or use a Mikuni snow mobile fuel pump. I've done both and they both work just fine...I prefer having all my outboards set up to run on one simple tank/fuel line combination.

Look at Brymill's post just above, and use an OMC pump.
