The was an article in bass and walleye boat magazine that discribed the whole thing but i have since lost it. i know the two major parts are carborator and exhaust tube and in the article they used boyson power reeds i dont know what the last part is does anybody know anything about it?

The 2 engines aren't even the same cu. in. so with a new powerhead and the parts you have mentioned it will be a piece of cake

Well a 2002 9.9m 2 stroke use the same powerheads ( part # 19072T97 and reed block part # 828435A 3) so your good there but you need a new carb, part # 9726T18 (larger bore, jets and so on )and the exhaust tube is larger, part # 41344T 6.The carb retails for about $235.00 and the tube is $67.00 and you will need a couple gaskets to do the whole job( 19599 2 and 19186 1)
So you may just want to sell the 9.9 and buy a 15 .
Good luck

T_I_M, you are right I miss read the question and was thinking 92 instead of 2002 and the blocks are the same after 1994 or #OD281000
