Moeller Portable Fuel Tanks

Just replaced my old Aluminum evinrude tanks with the Moeller Topside 6 gallon tanks. The original Aluminum Tanks had not vent cap. The Moeller tanks have the vent, should the vent be open when running? To me is makes sense to have the vent open when running the Motor.

Yep, vent must be open when running the motor.
