Re: Moisture removal
You know that little packet of crystals with a do not eat warning that came inside your camera box, vcr box, or with your new shoes? That stuff is silica gel crystals. You can buy it in 1 and 5 lb cans of loose crystals at hardware stores, garden centers, hobby and/or craft stores. They are intended to dry flowers. Dump it into a jar, toss the gauge in, tighten the lid and wait
it will suck the moister out of anything.

You probably cant collect enough little packets of the things. If you want to be a cheapskate (like me

) you can go to electronic retailers and ask if they have installed any high-end or big screen tvs recently. Those often ship with one of two 1/2-lb bags of the crystals. The crystals are reusable. Spread then on a cookie sheet and toss them into a 250f oven for 20 or 30mins and they are good to go, again. Btw, they are NOT toxic, but I wouldnt eat them.

This same question came up once before here. I think if you have access to one of those kitchen vacuum sealing machines you can toss the ff into it with the crystals and that should really expedite the dehydration process. Otherwise, Ziploc bag.

EDIT: forgot
once you get the moisture out, how are you going to keep it out? It got in there once before.
