Hi gang,

First post...looking for some solid insight/help with a potential messy repair on my 18ft Monarc 1992 FS1800.

I have several leaky revits towards the front half of boat, and a potential gas tank leak issue. Looks like I will have to pull the floor to trouble shoot and get at revits for proper repair. I am a complete rookie at this one. Any early suggestions before I get into this ugly task of pulling floors etc....

I see no other way to properly trouble shoot gas leak.

This boat has a complete dual console and an upper deck with livewell and storage.

I can not find my boat manual.Looking to map out where everything is beneath floor. Would like to know before I start extractiing/cutting the floor.
If anyone has done this or has a few suggestions, it would be greatky appreciated

Thanks a bunch.... :)

Wipper, Thx for info on other site. Checked it out and looks very informative re: rivet repairs. This job will be nasty but necessary.

By your IP, you fish Kawartha's. I live very close and fish both Rice and Pigeon. Want to fish Rice a little more this spring for Walleye. How do you get the private messaging to work on this site?

Thanks again for your tip.

Musky.... muskybait38@yahoo.com :p :p

muskybait,

If the rivets are not "falling out" loose, you can treat them with "Gluvit". This stuff flows into the voids created and seals them forever.

I have purchased it at West Marine. www.westmarine.com. Their on-line store only offers the larger size, there is a pint size kit available also in their catalog.

djohns19 thanks for info.

Can this be applied on the loose revits from the outside of boat? The revits are a little loose but not falling out. I also have a potential gas leak issue. Therefore, the deck removal may be inevitable to trouble shoot. thx again...
