If anyone can help i purchased this motor for $25.00 but know nothing about it except it runs it montgomery wards Model#74GG9012 Serial #102837
if anybody can tell me anything about this motor it would be greatly apprec. size of hp parts avail. if ever needed

74GG9012 is a 47/48 5hp built by the Gale devision of OMC.
Fuel mix is 16:1 use TCW3 rated oil.Point setting is .020.Champion J7J plug set at.030.Probably superceded now but should cross easily.Excellent little motors.An oddball carb but simple.Ignition is usually bullet proof.
Proper factory reprint ser. manuals my be available here at iboats big $$$. I have a 57 factory manual that covers these older motors real well.
Found it on ebay about $15 plus shipping.
