Montgomery Ward 1.5 hp Sea King

Hi everyone, im new to the boards. I just picked up an old 1948/1949 Montgomer Ward 1.5 hp Sea King an I just cleaned it all up an on the serial plate it says to mix gas with 30 wt. oil. Does this mean I can use just regular 30wt. automotive oil? Just wanna make sure, I dont wanna blow it up.

It says that, but the information is 60 years old. We have much better oil nowadays, called TC-W3 outboard oil. For one thing, it has an ashless detergent in it to keep the rings free and carbon down.
