My new to me boat came with one of those moorage/trailering covers (or whatever you call them...see pic:)

I just ordered a full semi custom boat cover from iboats. I have a question for storing the boat for the winter. Do I put the full cover over the mooring cover, or just the full cover? The boat will be stored outside in our backyard until I can afford one of those metal carport enclosures. We do not see a ton of snow here, usually about 2-4" a few times each winter. It melts off before the next snow. On my previous boat, I just used a cheapo walmart cover with a pole in the center, then swept the snow off of it each time it snowed.

What does everyone do? Thanks for your replies.

One cover is plenty.
If you have 2 on it then you could get moisture between them and rot out one or both covers.
I do the same, cover it and sweep off the snow. I had a tarp style 6 pole awning on it last year, man what a pain to get the snow off that.
