Mooring Connection, total newbie question

OK, I think I have the configuration of the mooring anchor/chain figured out. What I'd like to know now is the exact attachment of the pendant to the boat. There's a cleat up on top and then the big eye bolt down on the prow which the trailer hook grabs. This seems like a much better spot for attaching the pendant. but I can't reach down there while on the boat. Do you have yet another short line that goes from that eye to the pendant? I can't imagine that you attach the pendant to the cleat....

Thanks again, as always.

Re: Mooring Connection, total newbie question

The eye bolt on the bow for attaching the winch cable is seldom used for mooring or anchoring. Most boats have a cleat on the deck up forward for the anchor and a couple on either side and at the back for mooring.
