More carb/fuel issues

Hey all. Yesterday I finished the install of my new Edelbrock carb and intake on my 96 5.7L.

Now it seems that fuel is leaking out of the top of the carb, where the accelerator pump is. This is a similar problem that the old carb had, and was the reason I replaced everything.

Is it possible that my fuel pump is bad and perhaps producing too much pressure? It seems like the carb is just getting to much fuel.

And I'm sure I'll need a marine fuel pump correct?

Marine pump required unless you carry marshmellows on your boat for the roast.
You can rig up a test hose and fittings to include a pressure gauge. remove the steel line and plug some hose in for testing the pressure

Edelbrocks don't like more than 6.5 psi of fuel pressure. Anymore than that and the fuel will push past the float needles and flood.

You can install an external fuel pressure regulator to step down your pressure if thats the case...

My pump was putting out too much pressure, around 10lbs, and causing dribbling in the primary bores. Carbs like it down in the 5-6lb range. New pump fixed it.
