Re: more compression talk

Read this carefully, Danny:

There is no "factory" compression number.

Reason?? Guages differ, techniques differ, temperatures differ, other conditions differ.

Big OMC V6s often measure psis in the 60s-70s when in excellent condition.

Your engine is in fine condition

Re: more compression talk

The factory service manual lists no compression numbers, they need to be even thats all.

Mine tested at 30 psi, got a new guage and that showed 60 psi.
Ran some seafoam thru it and sprayed some in the cylinders, compression jumped to 85+. Runs fine anyway so...

have to go fix somethin else.
