I really enjoy reading the posts on this forum. There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge here!

Reason for my post is that I am more curious about why. No overheat problems.

The riser on port side (cylinders 1,3,5,7) gets warmer to the touch more than the riser on the starboard side. After 20 mins of idling, port riser is warm to the touch. Starboard riser is still cool.

New risers and exhaust manifolds. New hoses from heat exchanger to exhaust manifolds. New impeller in sea water pump. Thermostat is 1 year old. Temperature after 20 mins of idling is around 165.

Compression test:
8 - 165
6 - 165
4 - 175
2 - 180

7 - 175
5 - 175
3 - 175
1 - 175

Thanks

which ever manifold is higher will be the one that runs cooler as more water flows out the lower side
