Sorry to keep bother you guys. I posted again because the other thread was getting kinda long.
I am trying to figure this thing out. I looked under the steering wheel again and im not sure that I have enough room/clearance for the rack system. The speedometer, tach, fuel gauge and battery guage are kinda in the way.
What Im wondering is if I could use the dual cable NFB rotary system? would this be a good option? Now I dont know if anyone say my other post about the prop, but I am sure I have the wrong prop on my motor. I do plan on replacing the prop, but still dont really plan on going more than 50mph. I was at 45mph 5000rpm and that was plenty fast for me. We dont do any skiing or anything, and may do a little tubing.
Is the dual cable NFB rotary system a safe option for me? Even if I do decide to go over 50mph. I did do some work on the boat this afternoon, and determined that I will have to lift the motor to get the rod out. I dont have access to a winch or engine hoist but I thought about using my bobcat at work.
I also found the markings on my existing cable. It states 11.5 feet long. Should I go with a 11' or 12'? I heard it was better to round up.
So my main questions I guess are - Can I use the dual cable rotary system? (since I dont plan on going over 50 much) and will it be safe? 11 or 12' long cable?
Thanks for any help - Gary
