More power trim = newbie

Ok,
I got the power trim bled and working for the most part. This is a 3 button system with 2 cylinders that do everything,
First.... That darn reverse lock thing... Am I to think that in the water I need the thing turned out = counterclockwise all of the way..? (left = correct?) I just need a confermation on that please....
Second, The down = bottom button works and the up/out = middle button works but the up = top button has quit on me. I Think that I saw something about a "valve" somewhere in the motor/seloniod section but I am not able to find that anywhere here anymore. and is there a test that will get me to the bottom of that one?
Thanks,
Dave

Dave, The reverse lock needs to be all the CCW, if I remember correctly. The bottom button trims and tilts the motor down, as you have suspected. The middle button if for trim, while underway. I am surprized your's works. usually the trim limit switch breaks and makes the middle button useless.

To tilt the motor, push middle and top buttons together. That is the way it was designed.

Re: More power trim = newbie

Chris, Thank you again, Part of the concern was that I didn't need to use the top button anymore as the middle only button will pull the engine all of the way up, The upper one worked one time last week and quit, no noise or anything, I think I'm close on the bleeding thing as the motor lifts up and down fine - it just settles down if you lift it part way. I had thought there was something about a bypass in the valve system when you used both middle and upper buttons, I'm just not sure where I read it or where to look in the selenoid area,
