i have a 87 bayliner 14ft capri that came with a 94 force 50hp could you tell me how big of a motor i can put on this boat i cant find a plate anywhere

Hi Warrenp,<br />The boat is rated for 50 HP. If you could find a 3cyl 50 Merc or Johnson-Evenrude you would have a lot more power and speed. I've seen the boat with a 3cyl 70Hp 50cu.in.Merc on it. Not legal in WI. But the motor is the same size as the 50 Merc and they got away with it.That motor is the same as the 60HP 50<br />cu.in.just older.<br />...hope this helps...corm
