More power

HI, I have a 2004 125 ELPTO Merc, Can i replace the reeds and get more power? If so do you know a websight i can go to.

fishnutt, The only place that I know of that might be able to help you is 'http://www.screamandfly.com/home/[/url], That has got to be other sites, but off had cant think of any rite now.Me, I went from a 115 opti to a 150efi after having all kinds of problems. Good luck.

I second the screamandfly comment.

Reeds ain't where power is, unless you are trying to run stopped stock reeds at 8 or 9 grand rpm. Glass or carbon reeds tend to improve idle, and if they break will usually do less damage to the engine than steel reeds. (They are more digestible if you will.)

Easiest power boost is to take the compression up to the max you can run 92 octane pump gas by cutting the heads. That may be good for 10 - 15 ponies. Usually the best solution is to just trade up to the engine you need.
