Just wonderin what ya'll had for an opinion on getting rid of and possibly preventing carpet moss. I am assuming that elbow grease and a scrub brush is the only way but I figured I would ask first, I need my elbow for softball tonight.

Re: Mossy carpet

You may want to try some StarBrite Mold and Mildew Remover. It works really well on other problems although I haven't tried it on carpet. Hope this helps.

I would scrub using a bleach solution & detergent.
Be careful mixing stuff w/ bleach.
Then get a good cover to keep the rain & dirt off.

The easiest way is to pour white vinegar on it and let it sit in the shade as long as you can and then pressure wash. That will do it.Charlie

3M makes a new product that prevents mold and mildew that is available at Wallyworld. It comes in a spray bottle. I think about ten bucks. In the boat dept. in my neck of the woods.

In my book carpets belong on living room floors.
