I'm selling my '83 Cobia SunSkiff 156 soon (money crunch) and am already plotting my next boat purchase. I'm thinking of buying new this time instead of buying an antique and was wondering what is the most affordable bay boat, boat/motor combo?
Sundance with a Suzuki?
Carolina Skiff with a Tohatsu?
I don't need tons of storage...am used to the minimalist storage on my Cobia.

If they are sold in your area, also check out Southern Skimmer. The best boat/motor deal will depend mostly on your local dealers. Your biggest decision may end up 2-stroke vs 4-stroke.

Check out: Palm Beach (Douglas, GA) It's a decent boat with many amenities.

Stay away from their "Bay Dancer" series. I had one and hated it. Mine was Suzuki powered, which was also a nightmare.

The V-Hulls are nice and cheap.

They package many motors. Go for the high end on HP.
