It happens to be this forum. I am new to this site and my name is JOE. I currently reside in cenral Georgia, and i have decided to sign on to this board after reading post's for the last month or two. I am very impressed with answers that are given to some very technical problems that some of these members are experiencing. I like others here am contending with outboard issues and currently have NO questions:eek: Thats right No questions:eek:.After searching the archives here i have managed to locate multiple answers for pretty much any outboard question. I only hope that i too can contribute to this valuable tool that we share here:) Congratulations to all here that make this site possible:)

I also agree, but like all tools, one needs to learn how to use it correctly!

Welcome Aboard Joe!

You're the exception...you read the forum and used the search function before asking for help. Most questions have been answered many many times before. If more members would learn to use the Search function many folks could have good running motors sooner.

Feel free to jump right in if you DO have questions, there's a great bunch of folks here at iboats more than willing to offer the help you need.

Joe, Welcome to iboats, glad you joined. use of the search function can be frustrating, but as you said there is a wealth of knowledge there.

besides the help with a boat, motor or trailer, many of us have become friends, and communicate thru Private Messages, email, meet and fish together.

All the shop tools in the world are no use without a bit of direction.
Even auto mechanics get baffled by outboards at first blush.

Welcome to iBoats Joe. I too am a new member, but have tweeked on old outboards for many years. I come here to help others out and learn a few things as well. I have a couple antiques that are and will be under restoration procedures.

Whether you're restoring something old, or fixing something new, someone here will be glad to help out.

Good to see you here, Joe!

I live 30 minutes South of the Georgia line...and would love to see you post some good 'spots' to take either a 17 footer...or a PWC!

I have heard that the lakes in Georgia, have dropped considerably....

Re: Most Valuable Tool In My Shop

Thanks for such a warm welcome from everyone. I soon will post a question as i have not yet found a specific thread response in the archives that specifically details the problem that keeps re-occuring in my latest project...The search will continue until i have been defeated by this machine (LOL) I'm the type of guy who won't ask for directions until i am absolutely lost...As for GA. Lakes, Most all are at or near full pool except for Lake Lanier in Atlanta...I would highly recomend Lake Blackshear to any visitors to GA. as it has very clean, modern, safe, and beautiful facilities inside of Veterans Memorial State Park. Thanks for your kindness :) Joe
