What is "airlock"?? Is that the same as prop ventilation?
What is the vertical height of your transom from top to even with the hull bottom?
What is the length of your outboard shaft, from underside of the transom clamp to the anti-ventilation plate (horizontal plate above the prop).??
You will get more help sooner if you include this sort of information in your first post.
