Motor attachment

The owner's manual for my new 15 hp OB says I should bolt it to the transom. Is this really needed? It's a 14' aluminum boat.

clamps should hold it. but if you want to make sure it doesn't ever fall off or if you want to make it harded to steal then yes you need to bolt it on

That's great...It IS a "portable"...Although,<br />at 105lbs that's debatable!!
