Hi everyone. i just bought a second hand cmc jack plate and it doesnt have the bolts w/it. The manual states the bolts i need are 1/2" 13-3 stainless steel hex bolts. Besides stainless are they a certain grade or can i get these wherever i can? I would assume they are the same as regular transom mounting bolts. Are transom mounting bolts a certain grade? Thanks for all the help all the time.:)

Re: motor bolt grade

Stainless steels used in the presence of water are very susceptible to crevice corrosion. To minimize the problem, use 316 stainless steel hardware and lots of sealer under the washers.
