Re: motor colors, tn-26 and qd-10 ?
Both motors cited were made in 1950, and the QD was also made in 1949. Johnson green for the period was "Sea Mist Green". That covered all of their production. So, to answer your question, they should be the same. They switched to "Sea Horse Green" in 1952, and that color remained until the late 50's when they switched to bronze.
Below is a 1950 QD, compared to a 1954 JW-10 (3 HP). I don't know how well the colors will show up here, but that's the difference in the 2 greens.
