Motor cutting out

1994 Evinrude 225 Vindicator,
Start out wot and all cylinders do not report in. Run for a while and seems to get better but still not all cylinders. Stop a fish for about an hour and fire it up again and now all cylinders seem to be hitting. At wot it runs for a while then stumbles for a split second and then returns to wide open. Brand new plugs at .030, new gas, new fuel filter and gas lines, batteries new and full charged. It appears to be electrical but I don't know how to test coils and/or powerpack. Does anybody have a solution or idea?

Try temporarily disconnecting the ground wire on the shift assist switch on the engine.; it may be mis-aligned and knocking out three cylinders.

Be careful, it can be hard to get out of gear with that disconnected.
