I have a 84 Bass Tracker III and am looking for a mercury motor manual.
I can't seem to be able to identify the motor by the serial number. It is a 40 HP with a serial number of 5994588.
I would like to get a manual as I am having some issues with the starter. When I hit the key it almost seems like the starter bogs way down during the first two turns of the starter and then picks up speed and then turns over normally. Could this be a spark advance issue or possibly a starter problem?
I also need to replace the water pump impeller as the water flow is low.
Any help with any of these would be greatly appreciated!!
