motor mount base rebuild

Hello. I placed this in Mercuiser I/O forum as well..Can I remove the the 2 front motor mounts screwed into wood base without engine/drive being disturbed?...It is an inline 4 I/O...The transom was re-built 3 years ago and is a no rot conposite and is solid....
