Looking for information on removing the upper motor mounts and replacing them. Do i need to remove all the lower mounts on the exhaust tube before I can remove the upper mounts?

I have the whole power head off so i can replace the power head gasket thats been leaking. Seems like a great time to get everything done with out the weight of the engine on the swivel bracket.
I'll do a write up on the power head removal with lot's of pictures in return for the great help i receive here.

You could have replaced the mounts without removing the powerhead, but that's ok because it is easier now. What you have to do is remove the lower mounts and the nuts off all 3 upper mounts. Then swing the lower unit rearward and lift it and the whole rest of the assembly up and away.

Thanks F_R I'm replacing the power head gasket because it was spitting oil from the sides and the motor was smoking more than normal. I noticed the mount was broken while looking over the engine to remove the power head.

I was hoping I didn't need to remove the lower mounts to work on the upper, no short cuts unfortunately. She's a gas hog but has been extremely reliable and a a lot of fun on my 14' Alumacraft FD.
