Motor Mounts on 1999 Yamaha 200 OX66

Hello, my motor mounts or suspension (for lack of a better term) seem to be too loose. The motor seems to "nod" and "wobble" excessively when going over waves. Even in light chop at normal speed (35-40 mph) the power head seems to move too much. Transom and jack plate are solid and there are no loose bolts anywhere. Boat is a 99 Skeeter ZX 202. Does anyone know what may cause this? Is there a fix? Thank you.

could be the engine mounts, shake it and see.
is this a vx200 by chance?

Owners manual says V200X Complete serial # is V200TLRX,
66X L 001084. Manufactured 08-1998. Is it difficult to check / tighten motor mounts? Thanks.

checking them is easy, lower the motor, shake it side to side and see what moves.
changing them requires lower unit,powerhead then mid section removal.

Well. It is safe to say I will not be messing with the motor mounts!!! I did try shaking the motor but it seems tight. I can stand on the cavitation plate and bounce and make it give a little. Feels like I am compressing the rubber bushings. Thanks for your help Rodbolt!

thats kinda what the engine mounts are.
rubber bonded bushings.

Hey Rodbolt, I was in the garage today and shook the motor side to side and the it does move fairly easy. Is there anything I can tighten without having to pull things apart? Do I risk damage to the motor using it with mounts that seem to be soft?

depends on here the motion is.
is it mounts or steering slack.
