I HAVE A 1987 21' CUTTY CABIN. I WANT TO REPOWER IT WITH A NEWER/NEW MERCRUISE 5.7 ENGINE. WILL THE EXSISTING MOTOR MOUNTS IN THE BOAT ACCEPT A NEW ENGINE?

i was given this boat with little info myself.<br />its a 1987 "Forester" it had a 5.7 mercruiser engine<br />with an alpha1 outdrive. thats about all i know.<br /> if you want more answers, i'll be happy to do more research on it.
