I've got a 22ft tahoe pontoon (09') with a 115 E-tech motor, all stock from the dealer, bought brand new. I've noticed when i get in rough water and trim it up just a little .....not even an 1/8 of the way it will kick up when it hits a wave. Do you think the dealership put to short of a shaft on the motor.......what should I do or is that normal.

Sounds to me like the bypass valve is open to allow fluid flow around the tilt cylinders. Look for the screw adjustment and make sure it is turned clockwise and very tight.

Has it done this since new or it is a recent problem?

Tilt or trim to the point (~45deg) where you can use your hand to raise or push down the lower unit If it moves move than about and 1/8" than you may need to bleed the tilt/trim hydraulics. Recently I experienced the same issue. Cycle tillt all the up and barely cracked fill screw to bleed air. Than I lowered unit and did the same thing. Do this several times to bleed. Please noye there will always be a bit of air bleeding out that acts as a cushion or at least on my Mercury it is that way. You may need to also add fluid. Mine used automatic transmission fluid.
