Motor & Outdrive Replacement

I have a 1982 Bayliner Capri w/an AQ125A motor and 270 Outdrive. Both are taking a crap and with parts being hard to find on the AQ125A, I was wondering if anyone knows of an alternate replacement...maybe even not going Volvo-Penta.

Dead in the water without your help. Thanks

Hi I just came across your thread about repowering your Bayliner. I have a 1986 Bayliner Trophy that had a Volvo/Penta that I hanged to a mercruiser I/O the hole in the transom is a different size but with a little work it can be changed. The moter mounts were nt a problem By the way I replaced it with a 5.7 merc. Hope this helps
