motor raises in reverse

I have a 97 yamaha 90. When I give power in reverse the motor will raise up. This must be a some type of valve issue in the trim tilt system. Anyone have any experince with this system.

When you reverse and the motor jumps up, and you take it back to neutral, does it stay up or does it go back down again?

This motor has Hydraulic tilt and trim. Would you stated would be the case on a manual T&T. Thanks.
Where are all the experts. I have received great help in the past.
