Motor running rough after prop wrap up

Was out yesterday motor was running perfect then I got a rope wrapped up in the prop that cut the motor out. Got it untangled and it was running rough, stalling out in idle gear every so often. 1997 E40TLEUC

You might have damaged/bent the prop shaft. Is the shaft turning freely when turned by hand?
Any problems in idle out of gear>
Check gear oil.
