motor smokes very bad

hello,<br />I'ts a johnson 20 hp. 83'she sat for 2 years...<br />I've cleaned carb. and seafoamed. It cleared up<br />but still smokes too much- more soot is coming out of exhaust- dripping.<br />should I seafoam in the heads and let sit 24 hrs.then run or keep going thru carb.-or just run the -beep- out of her till she cleans out.<br />any and all ideas greatly needed thankyou

I'd run the sucker then if it needs it start the fiddlin.

What fuel oil ratio are you using?

Yep...what everyone above said. One question, is the engine warming up? Cold engines don't burn fuel real good if they are cold.

thanks for the replys,<br />oil 50:1 <br />shes warmed up. but still really smoken.<br />anymore ideas greatly needed thanks.

You may also want to check for a good, strong blue spark at the plug. Also what kind of oil are you using?
