motor sudddenly revved up

Ok, runnin along, everythings fine. I hit a small wave, nothin too big,
suddenly the motor revvs up like the prop came out of the water and boat stops. I go to neutral, everything sounds and looks fine. Back into forward, motor revvs up but only goes 5mph. Stop it again. Tilt motor up, nothing looks wrong, no prop damage. Start it again, works fine. Run it for about an hour and it works great. Any ideas????? prop slipping on shaft, throttle connection.....
2003 Merc 50 hp 2 stroke.

That should use the torque flo hub. pull the prop apart and check the hub...sounds like you may have spun it..
