Kicking around swapping my mtr out.... The current one on the boat (mdl 856x8A) has power trim. The one in the garage (856x7A) doesn't have power trim.... In looking at it, It doesn't appear to have the correct mounting bracket to use with power trim.... There is no place for the rams to connect to and no stops on the bracket.

How much of a PIA is it to swap the brackets out? Looks like a project!

Yes it is a project and can be a PIA.
If it is saltwater engines all corrosion from the salt will make it to a challage.
It will give you a lot of hours of work.

You'll need to pull the motor and swap almost everything to change over.
Remember to remove the plate that the trim ram pushes against or you'll chew up the aluminum.

Thanks.... I was afraid of that. Think I will try and fix the one on the boat. I know the history of that one... Afraid I might be opening pandoras box going for the swap.
