Motor swap

I have a 93 70hp evinrude power trim/tilt that I'm thinking of installing on my starcraft mr160. The current power plant is an 88 48spl which runs well but a little underpowered for the task and does not have power trim. I want to do a swap. Both are of same shafts leanth the major difference other than hp is the 48spl is premix and the 70 is vro. That is no problem for me.
My big question is how close are they related to each other in the electric department and steering. The mr160 is a center console which won't allow for easy mounting of the power lever from the donor motor. The existing motors power lever works but does not have the trim/tilt switch so I will install a momentary rocker switch. I'd be super happy with anyone's advice on this.

If both motors have the red plug the swap will be easy. Depending on the which remotes you have, you may be able to mount the T/N/T switch on the existing controller. Will need pics of both controllers.

Well... it appears posting pics from my phone isn't going to happen tonight. Keep getting file invalid error. I'll resize them and try again later. However they both have the red plug. The 70 evinrude has a bunch more wires that don't go through the red connecter. I am assuming they belong to the gauges in the dash because that motor has engine temp, voltage,Hobbs time and a few other I'm forgetting. The 48spl has tach only. The power lever on it has no cutouts for trim either. I was pretty happy to see the same red connecter though. I assume that controls on,off, start and choke?

The wire harness usually stays with the motor. I'm not sure what the issue is with fit in your hull. I'm guessing you might have binnacle mount controls on your center console, but that's a matter of attaching remote cables (maybe replacing cables if the length isn't right). What would it take to make the 70 harness work on your hull? (Steering hook up is presumably not an issue, or not too tough an issue.) Instrument holes can usually be nicely patched with some teak or mahogany trim.
