Motor will not trim up?

First off all I am new to this forum and very inpressed so far with all the information.

I have a 1998 90 V4 Johnson o/b. We were out wake boarding today and my wife took off a couple of times with me in tow with out the trim all the way down. When we stopped to take a break for ahwile the trim was intermittened. We headed back to the launch and it will now only trim down and not up. I can hear the click when i push the trim up button but nothing else. It does the same thing at the throttle lever (trim). Would that be a relay? solenoid? or fluid?....Motor?

You have up and down relays that control that. Try swapping them and see if the problem follows.

Had similar problem in Canada this week, it would go up but not down. I had a bad relay. try swapping them to find out for sure.

Thanks, it was a bad relay I replaced it and is good to go.
