Have a 1990 johnson 30 tiller model that will not turn over. I have replaced the solenoid and tested the starter and they both look fine. If anyone had a wiring diagram possible that could help me out that’d be great. Thanks

I'm thinking the nutruel safety switch on the starboard side.(mines on that side) When in nutruel it grounds the soloniod which makes it work. To test, put a jumper from any engine ground to one of the small leads on the solenoid. Should be the one closer to the back or the one that DOESNT have the red wire.

I think it's brown or tan.

If it turns over that little switch is bad.

This is the part.

quick test..... turn the key to START.... and have a buddy twist and bend all wiring accessible incl. connectors if any...
if you get a reaction you found a broken wire

check all battery wires and connections ...clean and shiny does it sometmies :)

battery all charged up isn't it ???
