I have a 1974 650 mercury with thunderbot ignition and it wont idle. it just dies out. I works fine on the water and it will only idle if u us the warm up leaver a bit. i have re done the carbs but never messed around to adjust them. I see there is 2 idle screws to the left of the carb. should i have adjusted them too and if so how much . like i say the motor works and runs great. i just would like to have it idling now. she pushes my 16' 1985 codorette ss sport beautifully!
