My Merc 150 was running beautifully as I started to back off due to a no-wake zone my engine just died. I was able to start it 2 times but it didn't last very long and after that nothing. Every thing else ( electricly ) works but when I turn the key not a sound -- nothing. You can't even hear the sound of it wanting to even try to start like it needed a battery which is not the case.
Can anyone help PLEASE

Re: Motor won't start

First look around to see if you see any burnt wires.

If thats ok,,,,,,,Look at your fuse panel to see if any fuses are blown.

If thats ok,,,,,,Try jumping your selenoid to see if it is good. Sounds like your selenoid may have a problem. I have been taught on here to check the simple stuff first.

Ditto! Definitly sounds like you lost a solinoid or a relay maybe?
