Could someone tell me how the front panel swiches work I have the toggle for 2/12 charge 12 volt/24 volt and run. Also I have the 2 12 volt marine batterys on one side and another for the motor. My question is about the 2 12 volts they both have connections for each battery once you hook these up if you flip the toggle to 24 volts does it switch the voltage to the tm to 24volts?

Also does any one have a boat manual for this boat I would love to get one.

I replied to my self I have a 1984 dynatrak fish and ski and it has a 3 prone plug for that tm above the 750 brute. It has the control panel plug in 3 wire / my question is mainly on the way the batterys hook up and the 12/24 volt switch up front.

Each battery has a pair of wires that run to the switch panel at the front of the boat. 2/12V Charge setting of the switch allows charging both batteries with a single 12 volt charger since the switch disconnects the 24 volt series connection and makes it a 12 volt parallel connection between the two batteries. You cannot charge both batteries in a 24 system (two 12 volt batteries in series) with a single charger. When you flip the switch to RUN the batteries are put back into series configuration for 24 volt operation of the trolling motor.

Not many people really understand the ramifications of a 12/24 volt system so it is not unusual that you didn't get many responses but lots of views. The main reason is that these systems are disappearing and even in the day, it made no sense to have a combo 12/24 motor since a 24 volt motor was obviously needed to move the boat so there was no need for the 12 volt capability. The boat manufacturers complicated the issue by including switch panels like yours. Trollers today are 12 volt only up to about 55# of thrust. Anything over that up to about 80# is 24 volts only and anything over that is 36 volts only.

Once again, if you read the first series of posts you would see yours is a different situation than the original poster had. He had two pairs of wires going up front, one pair from each battery. Your system has only three wires going up front. So your system looks like this and I must assume you DO NOT have a panel up front with the 12/24/RUN/CHARGE switch. Since I do not know the specs on each and every make and model of troller ever built it will be up to you to determine if you have a 12 volt, 24 volt, or a combo 12/24 motor. Just because the boat has a 12/24 capability does not mean you MUST have a combo motor. 12 volt as well as 24 volt motors will have only two wires in the cable going to the troller. A 12/24 combo motor will have three.
