I bought a 70 lb mg tm about a year and a half ago new from BPS and I don't have the original receipt but I'm pretty sure I sent in the warranty info and this week I lost three speeds on my motor. What can I do to get the unit fixed and is it something I can fix on own?

The reason slow speeds are lost is because that's what the control circuitry is all about. High speed is a direct connection to the battery so unless the speed selector switch itself goes bad, that speed rarely fails. You probably need a new speed control module but I am not familiar with the innards of most MG's.

Having owned a trolling motor repair shop 20 odd years ago I see not much has changed. You probably need to take it to a repair center. Next time buy a Minn Kota. Almost EVERY MG that I repaired had that same issue.
