I recently bought a Motorguide W75 for my bass boat. After getting it installed, I realized that "It is not recommended to install an external transducer." Are you freaking kidding me?

Has anyone got any good suggestions or have a work around for Motorguide wireless series trolling motors and a regular transducer?

I know of people that are doing it and not reported any problems. Sounds like they have an interference problem they know about. Love my Minnkota!

Are you wondering about mounting the transducer or wondering about an interference problem? All you need is a trolling motor transducer bracket. Heck, one for a Minnkota or any generic bracket will work fine. Since the transducer cable can't be secured to the shaft (the shaft slides remember), you need to secure the cable at the motor and at the head. The length of cable between those points must be left free.
