Good afternoon everyone

I am swapping in a 302 from a straight 6. The original mounting is totally different. Mount was on the front of the engine. I am wanting to mount onto the stringers, but I don't know what to use. I have a great set of mounds, but they are just too large. They do not fit.
Any recommendations? The stringers are approx 1" thick. Only 3" high on the inside and 2 1/4 on the outer side.
Pic attached
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The motor mounts that are on the engine are like to ones in pic.
I can always swap to a different style if need be

Use a block of hardwood. Contour it to the shape of the stringer on the bottom and trim it to size. Round the edges, then use Auto body filler as a 'glue' to secure them in place. Then cover with fibreglass mat (hence the rounding of the edges ;)). Leave it for a couple of days before putting any weight on them.

That seems good.
This is what I was originally thinking, but I would think I would want gussets on the angles

I can see what you are thinking, but that set up it going to put a lot of torsional loading on those stringer. I would prefer to make hardwood blocks that rest on the hull itself. That way the load is taken properly by the hull and the stringers.

Something like this....

Those both look very nice.
Looks like I will be doing some glass work.
Oak I am assuming for my wood?
If not oak, what did you guys use?
Thanks again

I just used peanut butter with chopped strand in it to laminate 3/4 plywood. Shaped and set in PB. Then glassed in with 1708 and finished with CSM.

Mine's made of one of the hardest woods you can get, Jarrah. (Australian Ironwood is the hardest)
