Having been left stranded about a mile off shore on her maiden voyage, I am considering a kicker motor for my 'toon. This would also come in handy trolling for lake trout and landlocked salmon.

I am at a loss as to how to mount said kicker. The transom is too narrow for two outboards. What are my options?

I mounted a painted steel plate that is a quarter inch thick to the top of my starboard side log, it has a 90 degree bend in it and it goes down to about the center of the log and a couple horizontal supports to mount the kicker bracket to. It is there only for emergency use as I dont have throttle or steering hooked up and it creates a hard pull to port. But it is enough to motor up stream against a fairly strong current.
