Just bought a new fish finder for the bow, problem is I want to mount it on the square rail and it has a somewhat large round base. Is there a mount for square tubing? or do I just need to make a base out of wood. It's a Humminbird 170.

You can make a mount out of wood or pick up some alum at lowes, home depot or several other places.

I personaly would use aluminum vs wood. I would get a round 1/4" or 5/16" aluminum and use some self tapping screws to mount it to the square top rail. take in to concideration with it on the rail your cover will be laying on it
thanks Jack

Thanks for the help, I ended up using a small plastic cutting board and just drilled though the rail ( didn't want to do the drilling buttttt ) now it's big enough to have a small shelf to boot.

yes its real handy stuff and the PVC trim board you can also pick up is real handy for making small shelves and places to put stuff.
