hello,
i just purchased a dual pro on board charger for my 2004 skeeter sx 190 and i'm looking for advice on where to mount it. i would like to avoid drilling anywhere that could cause problems down the road. i have also read some posts where guys were stating that there chargers mounting screws were working loose while driving through rough water. i only want to do this once so any info is appreciated.
thanks in advance

Re: mounting onboard charger

I just mounted one of those in my boat, Sometimes its hard to find the ideal place to mount anything in a bass boat. I had to drill though a storage locker, but installed the screws with the heads on the inside of the locker and the nuts on the outside. To keep the unit from moving around after installation, put a gob of silicone sealant on the back of the unit before installing and it will keep it from moving around and making the holes bigger if it gets lose.

I also just installed a water separating fuel filter and had to make a bracket to mount it where I wanted it. If you have ever thought about it, Honda makes a really nice compact unit that doesnt take up much room and it has a clear bottom and a drain. Less than $40.00.
