I have a 83/200 kHz & 50/200 kHz transducers and one Lowrance HDS- 7 head unit used with a switch box between the two transducers. Will I have a problem mounting both ducer next to each other on the right transom about an inch apart?

i would put one on the transom and one on the trolling motor..... use the transom one for driving the boat and finding structure as you move then when you get up to fish just switch it to the one mounted to the troller and you read what you are going over right then and not what you went over 20' ago.

the only thing is you need to locate the head so you can see it from anywhere in the boat.

I decided to mount one on each side of the transom. The 83/200 on the left and the 50/200 Right.
